Prawn Mee @ Sixth Cafelink

 |

Each time I try something so tasty and delicious, I literally have a short "eureka" moment in my head, followed by soft moaning sounds of om nom nom noms before I started raving about it here on my blog.

So here you go. Check out this very authentic and delicious Pork Ribs & Prawn Mee at Sixth Cafelink.

The thing about an authentic dish, is that you don't really know how authentic it is unless you've tried the real thing. So when I first saw the words Penang Pork Ribs & Prawn Mee, I was skeptical of its authenticity, especially when I can't tell the difference between normal Prawn mee and Penang Prawn mee.

But since I was hungry and craving for Prawn Mee, I decided to give it a try because seriously, how wrong can Prawn Mee taste?

Minutes later, our food finally arrived and I did what normal soup junkies did - taste the soup first.

Mmm! Shiok! The soup base was thick and different; unlike the usual Prawn Mee soup I've tasted. And I slurped my noodles and sipped my soup, I realized why I enjoyed my meal so much.

The soup - My oh my. Normally when I order Prawn Mee, I'd put a fair amount of chili powder to add some spice to the broth. But this time round, the soup had a little spice in it. The best thing is, the spiciness level was just nice for me; it's as if the shop owner knows my spicy threshold. Ah, not forgetting the nice, thick broth that's oh so tasty that I literally drank the whole bowl of soup.

The pork ribs - Because I was hungrier than usual, I ordered the Pork Ribs & Prawn Mee instead of just Prawn Mee. And I'm glad I did so because the Pork Ribs are so soft and tender! Frankly, I enjoyed the Pork Ribs more than the Prawns.

All in all, everything just felt and tasted perfect. Even my Penang friend who ate the Prawn Mee praised its authenticity and taste! And for the Penang Laksa fanatics, this stall also sells very good Penang Laksa; the sour and a tad spicy type with lots of fish meat.

Well, I'm definitely going to come back here again for either one of the above mentioned dishes. But this time, I'll bring the BF.
